Strictly’s Janette Manrara fights tears as she shares emotional family update | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Janette Manrara was left holding back the tears as she marked her daughter’s first trip to Disneyland. The Strictly Come Dancing star, 40, welcomed her first child with husband Aljaž Škorjanec in July last year.

Nearly one year later, the couple headed to Walt Disney World with Lyra and other members of Janette’s family. Sharing a gallery of snaps from their time at the Florida theme park, the professional dancer felt “emotional” as she issued a heartfelt update with her followers.

Janette began: “I have been going to @disneyparks since I was only a year old w/ my parents, and have been every year since. Being able to share Lyra’s first visit w/ them and my brother and sister was so emotional… We really are a #DisneyFamily.”

The It Takes Two presenter continued: “Although she will not remember a thing from this visit, as her mother I certainly enjoyed indulging myself in watching the joy in her eyes. I’m hoping @aljazskorjanec and I are able to pass down my family’s tradition of going to the parks.”

Janette added: “Being there w/ her felt truly magical. Until next time!” Lyra will be celebrating her first birthday in July, but Janette and Aljaž, 34, threw their baby girl an early birthday party while they were in Miami.

The choreographer posted several snaps of Lyra with her family, posing in front of her butterfly-themed birthday cake. She wrote: “We won’t be together for her actual birthday, but I wanted my family to feel a part of her special day.

“How incredible that we were able to celebrate w/ her grandparents, great grandmothers, aunts & uncles, and all her cousins! Feeling grateful for having Lyra grow up so loved.”

It comes after Janette was flooded with support following the loss of her beloved dog. The TV star, who has been married to Aljaž since 2017, shared pictures of her pet pooch, Nahko, but sadly revealed in the caption that he had died.

The dancer wrote: “I’ll miss you so much my beautiful boy [broken heart emoji]. Love you always and forever Nahko.” Her Strictly co-stars rushed to the comments, with Gemma Atkinson writing: “Ahh Jannette. I’m so so sorry.”

Meanwhile Italian professional, Graziano Di Prima, added: “I’m so sorry Janette” followed by a love heart emoji.
