Strictly Come Dancing fans predict ‘winner’ following series launch | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Strictly Come Dancing fans were delighted to tune into the new series on Saturday night, and actor Nigel Harman has already been deemed the one to watch.

The hit BBC competition kicked off on Saturday with 15 new celebrities introduced to viewers.

The dance couples were also revealed and fans got a glimpse of what they’ve all been working on as the famous faces took to the floor.

From this, former EastEnders star and current Casualty actor Nigel seemed to stick out to people as the potential winner of the series as he danced with Katya Jones.

Twitter user @lindseyseva penned: “Nigel and Katya my winners Idc #Strictly.”

@katyajcnes shared: “NIGEL AND KATYA STRICTLY WINNERS 2023 I JUST KNOW IT #strictly.”

“Dennis from Eastenders (I will always call him this) to win @bbcstrictly #Strictly,” @helenshep85 commented.

@lindseyseva added: “Nigel and Katya my winners Idc #Strictly.”

@LikeATattoooooo posted: “Nigel and Katya – early winner?”

@HausOfDylan95 remarked: “Might have to support Nigel! #Strictly.”

Could viewers have correctly identified this year’s trophy lifter already?

After the two were paired together, host Claudia Winkelman warned Nigel that Katya could be quite strict.

She asked if he was ready, to which Nigel replied: “Everyone keeps telling me this and every time they tell me this I get more and more terrified, but I am pretending I’m really calm about it.”

When asked about what Katya has in store for Nigel, she said: “Ideas will come as we get to know each other”.

As well as Nigel, the line-up this year consists of Amanda Abbington, Angela Rippon, Layton Williams, Krishnan Guru-Murthy, Eddie Kadi, Angela Scanlon, Zara McDermott, Adam Thomas, Nikita Kanda, Ellie Leach, Jody Cundy CBE, Bobby Brazier, Annabel Croft and Les Dennis.

All the pairings were finally revealed during the opening show and fans are no doubt looking forward to seeing the journeys of the famous faces.

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 6.35pm on BBC One.
