Owain Wynn-Evans addresses BBC absence after ‘rapid downward spiral of wellness’ | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Owain Wyn Evans has said he’s now “fighting fit” after missing his BBC Radio 2 show because he was unwell.

The 39 year old presenter is usually on the Early Breakfast Show, but wasn’t there on Monday. Instead of Owain saying hello like he always does, there was just music.

But on Tuesday, he was back and said a big thank you to everyone for being so kind when he wasn’t there. He talked about why he wasn’t on the radio.

Owain told everyone: “Normal service is resumed. If you listened yesterday you may have detected that I was absent from the airwaves most of the show but I am back and fighting fit.” He also said: “Lovely to be back after my brief absence.”

He also said this morning: “Thank you so much for your lovely messages about yesterday.” Owain then talked about not being on the show, which Vanessa Feltz used to host.
