Jodie Marsh badly bitten on face by exotic animal and left with painful gaping wound | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Jodie Marsh has been badly bitten on the face by one of her exotic animals. The media personality was left with a painful open wound on her nose but refused to go to A&E.

The 45-year-old was seen bleeding in a video upload on Instagram, as she explained the unfortunate turn of events. She spoke out via the official page of her animal rescue centre, Fripps Farm, which has 166,000 followers.

The place is home to more than 300 animals ranging from sheep and horses to meerkats and emus. But it was a cat-like genet that she was caring for when it got “the hump” and bit her.

Jodie explained in her initial upload: “Normally I say it’s not as bad as it looks, this is worse than it looks. I got bit, badly, on the nose. Really badly.”

The former model was seen sporting a plaster across the top of her nose, before seeking professional assistance. She admitted: “I’m not going to A&E, absolutely no way… I have not got the time for it.

“[Boyfriend] Mark has gone to find me butterfly stitches as my nose up here is gaping wide open.”

Jodie then said: “It hurts but I’m fine. That is the perils of animal rescue. We’ve got a very untamed, unfriendly genet, who needs to be treated daily.”

In a later clip, Jodie filmed herself as she made her way to a nurse friend’s house, stating the “wound is actually really deep”.

But thankfully her pal was able to assist and Steri stripped the cut, which would have been otherwise “gaping open”.

“She’s sorted it for me, thank goodness,” Jodie said, with the results clearly visible.

After arriving home and getting into bed, she finished: “She has pressed it back together… it’s all been done properly.

“I’m now waiting on 111 to call me back because I need antibiotics, because it’s an animal bite and an exotic animal.”

Jodie opened Fripps Farm three years ago, offering a loving home to animals that are either unwanted or in danger of being put to sleep.
