Jennifer Lopez ‘banned’ reporters from asking about Ben Affleck | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Daily Express has contacted Jennifer Lopez’ representatives for comment.

So far, the strategy has seemingly kept prying personal questions at bay during the Los Angeles and Mexico City premieres earlier this week but a press conference in Mexico on Wednesday went awry.

During the conference, one reporter publicly questioned the singer about the split rumours, questioning if they were “real” to which she tersely replied: “You know better than that.”

The This is Me Now star was wearing her wedding ring during the incident and it’s currently unclear if the reporter knew about the restrictions around questions about her marriage.

While the audience applauded J.Lo’s professional response, Barbie star Simu warned other reporters to avoid that line of questioning saying: “Don’t come in here with that energy, please.”

Elsewhere during the conference, Simu praised the actress and tried to highlight her achievements outside of her personal life saying: “If I could just end on one thing, Jen is a producer on this movie and the reason why I’m here and the reason why Sterling was in this beautiful movie was because Jen cares.

“Jen cares about things like representation and diversity — and she’s a boss!”

While Jennifer continues her press tour, Ben was spotted in Los Angeles with his 12-year-old son Samuel, who he shares with his ex Jennifer Garner, and the pair were all-smiles and laughter despite the speculation.
