Israel Palestine war LIVE: Iran issues warning as 1,500 killed Hamas terrorists found | World | News

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran‘s top authority, hailed on Tuesday what he described as Tel Aviv’s “irreparable” military and intelligence defeat. Referring to the air and land attacks launched by Hamas against Israel on the weekend, Mr Khamenei said: “We kiss the hands of those who planned the attack on the Zionist regime.”

This show of support for the terrorist group came as the Israeli military announced the death of hundreds of Hamas terrorists following another night of intense retaliatory air strikes.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced today to have found the bodies of 1,500 Hamas militants in Israel and around the Gaza Strip. The war’s death toll has risen to more than 800 Israeli and almost 700 Palestinian civilians.

Israel’s response to Hamas’ terror attacks is likely to kill more civilians, given how densely populated is the Gaza Strip.

An IDF source told Sky News that military action in Gaza is “not going to be clean”. Referring to the siege of the strip launched yesterday by the Israeli military, the source added the situation for the population might get “nasty” when factoring in also a complete shutdown of fuel, water, electricity and food.
