Jets vs. Giants Pick
The Giants have delivered two strong performances against defenses that had vulnerabilities for Tyrod Taylor to exploit with his poised pocket presence. However, when they face the Jets this Sunday on neutral ground, it’s expected that they won’t be as successful in keeping Taylor from making mistakes.
Despite the reluctance to bet on Zach Wilson, the line should favor the Jets by more than a field goal due to their significant advantage in the trenches. The Jets possess a top-five coverage unit according to PFF and have a top-half rating in pass rush win rate. Their defense is formidable against the run, and they’ve had extra time to rest and nurse their secondary back to health during the bye week.
Even though the Jets have faced a challenging lineup of quarterbacks, including Jalen Hurts, Patrick Mahomes, Dak Prescott, and Josh Allen, they rank 10th in success rate and 12th in EPA per play allowed. With Daniel Jones still sidelined and not cleared for contact, the Giants’ offensive line, despite Tyrod Taylor’s knack for avoiding sacks, continues to struggle with pressure, especially since Jones’ injury.
