Gogglebox fans demanded a show shake-up as they fumed over one “joyless” star. The reality show returned to Channel 4 on Friday (May 17) as the families sat back and watched Eurovision.
They were particularly stunned by Windows95man, real name Teemu Keisteri, who appeared to be completely naked as he took to the stage representing Finland.
Performing his track, No Rules!, the Finnish star used clever camera angles as he rocked a cropped white T-shirt with a pair of socks and sandals. Believed to be wearing nothing on his bottom half, the singer began thrashing his legs around.
Mary Killen was visibly disgusted by the performance as she shouted: “Oh you stupid little man!” Sitting with her husband Giles, she later added: “It’s when you’ve got no talent, you just try and shock instead.”
Gogglebox fans were left unimpressed by Mary’s reaction as the took to social media to slam her for the “horrible” comments. One fumed: “Mary has just turned into a horrible, joyless h**.”
Another said: “I’m sorry, but Mary is so utterly joyless and it’s not amusing anymore.” A third wrote: “I used to think Giles was going to end up under the patio, but now I think the bloke deserves a medal for putting up with Mary’s joyless ways.”
Some even called for Mary to be axed from the show completely, with one writing: “Please bin fun sponge Mary. Keep Giles but get rid of that annoying bore.”
A second agreed: “Hard not to hate Giles & Mary. At first they were just kooky & a bit weird, but now it’s beyond utterly unbearable whenever they appear on screen. Every new season I pray they won’t return, but then up they f***ing pop.”
It comes after Gogglebox star Ellie Warner took to social media to celebrate her son’s first birthday. Ellie, who shares Ezra with her partner Eddleston, posted two snaps of their son’s early birthday festivities.
One photo captured a heartwarming moment with Ezra cradled between his parents, while another showcased Ellie proudly showing the birthday cake she made.
Ellie playfully captioned the post: “Early 1st birthday celebrations for Ezra! Got to milk your 1st birthday. I just wanted to show off the cake I made really”.
