Giants move on from veteran receiver Cole Beasley

The Giants’ Cole Beasley experiment is over.

The team mutually parted ways with the veteran wide receiver after he asked for his release off the practice squad, The Post’s Ryan Dunleavy confirmed.

Beasley signed with the Giants in July and returned to the practice squad after failing to make the 53-man roster.

He was placed on the injured reserve list with an undisclosed injury Sept. 4, and designated to return from the practice squad Oct. 10.

The Giants had another 10 days to decide whether or not to add Beasley to the active roster.

Though he had ties to Giants coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen from their time with the Buffalo Bills, the wideout was never called up before his request for a release was granted.

Beasley has played in 153 games with 51 starts across 11 seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, Bills and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
