Four in a Bed host ‘insulted’ over guest’s underpayment | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Tensions hit the roof on the latest explosive episode of Four in a Bed, as B&B proprietors gathered for the much-anticipated payment day showdown.

The atmosphere turned icy, particularly between Sheila and Phil and the rest of the competitors during the Friday outing of the popular Channel 4 programme.

In this charged episode, the B&B owners convened once again to reveal what they considered each stay was worth and to thresh out their grievances over some sharp critiques on the comment cards.

Sheila, raring for answers, confronted the group about the criticisms levelled at her establishment in Weston-super-Mare, especially regarding neatness.

Cleanlinessor the lack thereofwas in the firing line with both mother-daughter pair Pam and Mya and partners Anton and Emma discovering unwanted hairs in their lodgings.

Addressing the cleanliness lapses, Anton remarked: “It was very disappointing. I’m not sure what went wrong, they could’ve done much better.”

Pam and Mya escalated matters by presenting photographic evidence of the hairs and directly calling on Sheila to clean up.

When scores plummeted to a measly four for cleanliness, Sheila and Phil were quick to grill Anton and Emma concerning their damning observation of uncleanliness going as far as alleging the finding of faeces on the toilet.

Anton candidly disclosed: “I’m afraid to say, there was an apparent residual excrement that hadn’t been quite scrubbed off.”

In his defence, Phil put forward: “We had workmen that had to go through the loft in your room. We told them specifically not to use the bathroom in there.”

Mya and Pam gave a cheeky £10 deduction due to discovered hairs, while Anton and Emma boldly subtracted £25 for perceived shortcomings at Phil’s B&B.

The drama escalated when Phil expressed his dismay, remarking: “It seems a little excessive to be honest with you, £25 that is a huge percentage out of our pot but if that’s how you feel that’s how you feel.”

Sheila, personally invested in their establishment, was visibly shaken off-camera, stating: “The B&B is my baby and you just totally insulted my baby.”

Amidst the controversy, Anton remained adamant about his stance to the cameras, insisting his hefty underpayment was warranted.

The tensions peaked when it was revealed that Anton had also undervalued Pam and Mya’s offering by a striking £57, leading to a fierce retort from the aggrieved B&B owner: “Your talk is cheap Anton when you’re paying me £57 under, your talk is cheap! “.

Despite the cleanliness issue throwing them a curveball, Sheila and Phil clinched second place, narrowly missing out to Louise and Rob’s Golden Grove Retreat as the champions of the nail-biting episode.

Four in a Bed continues on Channel 4 weekdays from 6pm
