Falcons vs. Packers, Saints vs. Panthers predictions: NFL picks, odds

ATLANTA FALCONS (-1.5) over Green Bay Packers

Green Bay struggled against the run in 2022, and that didn’t get much better against the Bears, even in a positive game script for the Packers.

Chicago averaged 4.2 yards per carry (ninth best among all teams in Week 1), after the Packers allowed the sixth-most yards per carry in the NFL in 2022.

The Falcons should be able to run all over this pitiful run defense.

New Orleans Saints (-3) over CAROLINA PANTHERS

We could be looking at one of the worst teams in the NFL in Carolina.

Bryce Young looked every bit of the unseasoned rookie, while Derek Carr made solid use of his weapons.

Betting on the NFL?

Scoring just one touchdown against the Falcons in Week 1 is a problem that the Saints won’t help you solve either, with a defense that made Ryan Tannehill look like he was ready for a job on CBS.

Look for Carr to dominate a bad Panthers defense that allowed the second-highest catch percentage on targets in 2022 and could be even worse in 2023, with Jaycee Horn doubtful this week.

Last week: 0-2. Giants (L). Commanders (L).
Season: 0-2.
