Enablers have been hiding the worst of Biden’s senility from Americans

Even as the Biden team ramps up its damage control, fresh word on the president’s compromised mental state keeps popping up.

Among the worst of the latest: President Biden’s top staffers, per high-level leaks to Politico, have been keeping bad news from him during his regular briefings — lest it trigger one of his notorious rages.

That is, they’re not just hiding him from the outside world — but also hiding the outside world from him.

And this is presumably during the 10 a.m.-to-4 p.m. window (per aides’ leaks to Axios) when the staff figure the president is functional — albeit, it seems, not so functional that you can level with him.

“Biden’s growing limitations were becoming apparent long before his meltdown in last week’s debate,” Politico also reports (no kidding), so a bare handful of his closest advisers “built an increasingly protective circle around him.”

And “no one has done more to keep the president isolated — and shielded from tough conversations” than First Lady Jill Biden, who publicly scoffs at concerns over her husband’s competency.

The president may still be technically in charge, but if he’s only selectively fed information, he’s not running the country.

Indeed, the staff has been treating him exactly like the dementia patient they publicly deny he is.

Oh, and now recovering addict/retired influence-peddler Hunter Biden is sitting in on the president’s meetings.

More: Legendary newsman Carl Bernstein reports that people who’ve “loved” and “supported” Biden have been pouring out of the woodwork to raise the alarm, claiming “there have been 15, 20 occasions in the last year and a half when the president has appeared somewhat as he did in that horror show,” Thursday’s disastrous debate.

The White House can’t make this go away by trotting the prez out for four minutes of reading off the TelePrompTer, as Monday night, nor a longer read inside his “lucid window,” as Tuesday afternoon.

Friday’s pretaped interview with former Clinton spokesman George Stephanopoulos won’t do it, either.

Tuesday also brought two House Democrats declaring he needs to go; more will follow.

They’ve been propping up a shell of a man at the Resolute Desk.

When The Post and others pointed out the problems, the White House attacked us, calling it all “cheap fakes.”

Did the press outlets now breaking the grim news (even The New York Times is getting in on it) know the truth, and keep silent — or just miss the obvious?

Either way, the lie has finally crumbled, and all the president’s spinners and stagecrafters can’t put Humpty Dumpty together again.
