Dublin school stabbing LIVE: Three children knifed in city centre as police rush to scene | UK | News


At least three children have been stabbed in an incident near a girl’s school in Dublin city centre, according to police. Emergency services rushed to scene near Parnell Square on the northside of Dublin, shortly after 1pm. 

According to local media, two of the children involved in the incident have been rushed to hospital following the stabbing.

A suspect has been arrested at the scene, and has also been treated for injuries by emergency services.

Videos taken at the scene show a huge emergency services presence, with police cars and ambulances arriving at the scene. A large cordon has also been placed across the road.

A Garda spokesperson told the Irish Independent: “An Garda Síochána are currently at the scene of a serious incident on Parnell Square East and are being assisted other emergency services.

“At this early stage, An Garda Síochána is not in a position to confirm any further details.”
