Draymond Green ejected for clocking Jusuf Nurkic in head

Draymond Green is at it again.

The Warriors star was ejected from the team’s game against the Suns on Tuesday night in Phoenix after being called for a Flagrant 2 foul when he appeared to swing and hit Jusuf Nurkic in the head.

He appeared to be working to get open and gain positioning on Nurkic, who was defending him, during a side-inbound play with 8:23 left in the third quarter.

Green, 33, looked like he may have lost his footing a little bit before spinning around and rocking the side of the Suns’ big man’s head with his loosely closed right fist.

Nurkic immediately fell to the court holding his face after taking the spinning back hand.

The Warriors lost 119-116.

This is Green’s third ejected this season, the most recent coming on Nov. 14 when he put Timberwolves star Rudy Golbert in a headlock as the teams brawled on the court.

The three ejection ties Green’s career-high in a season.

The former All-Star was suspended five games for the incident and will now have to wait for a league review of Tuesday night’s play to see if he will be docked any more games.

He was also tossed after receiving two technical fouls — second after a video review — during the Warriors’s loss to the Cavaliers on Nov. 12.

It came several minutes after he and Clevland star Donovan Mitchell pushed him and the two had to be separated.

The review showed Green made contact with Mitchell after stripping the ball from him in the play that sparked the bruhaha.

Green has now been ejected 19 times during his 11 NBA seasons.
