Darius Danesh’s family say he was in ‘severe pain’ before star found unresponsive in bed | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Darius Campbell Danesh had been suffering “severe pain” following two previous car accidents, which was getting progressively worse in the lead-up to his death, his family revealed today.

It has been confirmed that he was using marijuana, painkillers and an inhalable anaesthetic drug at the time of his tragic death, aged just 41.

In a statement published today, his family said: “In the days leading up to his death, Darius had been suffering from severe nerve pain in his neck following car accidents in 2010 and 2021, which was progressively ‘getting worse’.

“He had taken pain medication, marijuana and chloroethane to manage the intensity of the pain prior to his death.”

The former Popstars star had received doctors’ offers to operate on his neck back in 2010, fearing it could damage his vocal cords, and his symptoms had continued to flare up.
