Coronation Street Toyah’s bombshell, Kit twist and new face | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Next week’s Coronation Street episodes promise a rollercoaster of emotions for several characters.

Bernie is eager to reveal to Gemma and Paul about their brother, and waits at the Rovers to discuss with Kit how they should break the news. However, unbeknownst to her, Kit is already at the flat spilling the beans.

A downcast Bernie opens up to Dev about the struggles she’s facing with Paul and Gemma, and her attempts to unite her family. Meanwhile, Beth is taken aback when she flirts with Kit on the street, only to discover that he’s Gemma’s brother and Bernie’s son.

Gemma discloses that she and Paul are purchasing a wreath for Kit’s biological mother, prompting Dev to suggest she send her own floral tribute. In another part of town, Steve’s birthday party doesn’t go as planned, leaving him disappointed to find out Tim and Sally are attending the unveiling of Tommy O’s bust instead.

Also, Cassie proposes to drive Steve to the party to confront them. Once there, they devise a plan to get back at Tommy once and for all. Steve seeks Tim’s assistance in covering up his and Cassie’s antics at the Tommy O bust unveiling, but Debbie quickly catches on.

In the meantime, Bethany presents Shona with the company credit card statement from Lazaret, which includes a supermarket transaction. Shona suggests it could be a ‘click and collect’ purchase and advises Bethany to contact the store in case there’s CCTV footage available.

Toyah is left aghast when she discovers Leanne showing Amy an institute video to help alleviate her stress, realising that she’s contemplating making an investment. Later, Toyah confides in Nick about her severe stomach pains, leaving him stunned when he comes home from work to find her writhing in pain on the floor.

Rushing her to the hospital, as he and Leanne anxiously wait by her bedside, the doctor delivers some shocking news. Still reeling from the doctor’s revelation, Toyah is thrown off balance when he drops another unexpected bombshell.

In other soap developments, Kit alerts Sarah that DS Swain has been snooping around and has caught wind of the fact that Nathan was paid some hush money to drop the case. DS Swain hauls her in for questioning, directly asking her if she knew who assaulted Nathan and whether she bought his silence with £10k.

Later, Swain’s daughter Betsy begins her work experience at the factory, impressing Fiz and Carla with her machining skills. At the factory, Betsy covertly reads a flirtatious text from Joel and responds just as Carla catches her and seizes her phone.

Will Carla read the message?

Meanwhile, when George seeks out Michael in the hope that he might be able to reason with Glenda, he discloses that they’ve broken up due to his disapproval of her recent actions.

Additionally, Nina and Shona concur that they need to devise a plan to lift Roy’s spirits and get him out of the flat.

In a twist, Nina convinces Evelyn that Shona has fallen ill, in an attempt to lure Roy back to his cafe duties. After Nina triggers the smoke alarm, Roy finally leaves his flat and, donning his apron, agrees to return to work.

Coronation Street is broadcast on ITV1 and ITVX every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 8pm
