Coronation Street resident struck down by car after Adam Barlow’s dangerous alliance | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

It looks like there’s trouble on the way for Coronation Street’s Adam Barlow (played by Sam Robertson) after his dangerous alliance with criminal bad boy Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor). Official spoilers for the ITV soap reveal that next week, Adam faces another blow.

Having signed the divorce papers for Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien), a sad and guilty Adam has a change of heart and decides to delete the appeal document for Harvey. After he’s signed everything, Adam places a USB of the CCTV footage into a jiffy bag and marks it ‘The murder of Natasha Blakeman’.

Later on, a furious Harvey calls Adam knowing that the police have the CCTV footage which shows John Perry at the shop during the time Natasha was killed, throwing out his confession. Seething at Adam, Harvey menacingly warns him to watch his back.

With Sarah and Damon Hay’s (Ciaran Griffiths) relationship continuing to grow from strength to strength, Adam decides it’s time to confess how he really feels. Calling at the flat, Adam tells her he doesn’t want a divorce.

Giving it one last attempt, Adam tells her still loves her and wants to give their relationship another go. Will Sarah have a change of heart?

Shocked by Adam’s confession, Sarah runs out of the flat, unable to cope with her emotions.

However, as her daughter Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) sees Sarah upset she heads over to see what’s happening.

Although things take a turn for the worse when a car accelerates towards them just as Bethany approaches Sarah.

Having been struck by the car, the family are all in hospital as Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) rails at a guilt-ridden Adam.

Daniel doesn’t hold back on telling Adam how he feels and scolds him for getting involved with Harvey, putting both Sarah’s and Bethany’s lives at risk.

Back on the street Ken Barlow (William Roache) is shocked when he finds out how Adam’s actions have impacted everyone.

Elsewhere, Damon tries to calm Sarah by explaining that he’s spoken to Harvey and he’s promised to back off.

Although he tells her that she and Bethany have nothing to fear, has Sarah finally realised how dangerous being with Damon could be?

Actress Tina O’Brien touched on Sarah and Damon’s relationship as the soap star was asked whether or not she’s concerned her character will get heartbroken once again.

She replied: “Yes I am, I’m really worried. I do truly believe that Damon’s got her best interests at heart.

“I believe he means what he says to her but unfortunately with the life he’s led and the people that he knows the temptations to get involved in something dodgy could be too great.”

Coronation Street continues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV from 8pm
