Over the past few weeks, it’s clear that Coronation Street’s Cassie Plummer (played by Clare Sweeney) has taken a liking to married mechanic Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell). On Tuesday night, the Weatherfield resident tried her best to meddle in his relationship with Abi Webster (Sally Carman).
During the episode, fans of the ITV soap saw Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) reach out to Abi to see if she still had connections to drug dealers from her addiction days. It comes as his MND is getting progressively worse and he wanted to have the option to end his own life with drugs.
Initially, Abi refused to help as she highlighted how painful it would be for his mother Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove), knowing what it’s like to lose a child. However, she later had a change of heart and met a dealer to get some Benzos for Paul.
While meeting someone to get the drugs, someone watched on and took photographs, which was later revealed to be Cassie. Heading the the garage, she instantly told Kevin his wife had been slipping back into old habits.
Instantly believing Cassie, Kevin was furious and told his wife to pack up her stuff. Fearful for their children, he didn’t want her to be around them.
She explained to Kevin that the drugs were for Paul as she headed to Roy’s Rolls to calm down.
Kevin then went around to see him and scolded Paul for putting his wife in that position.
Curious as to how he found out she met up with a dealer, Kevin confessed Cassie followed her and took images to show him.
Stumped that her friend would do such a thing, Roy Cropper (David Neilson) decided to have a word with Cassie, realising she was trying to push Abi and Kevin apart.
As he told Cassie that Abi was getting the drugs from a third party, he told her to proceed with caution going forward.
The usually calm and kind-natured cafe owner seemed to be warning Cassie that if more meddling continued there would be trouble.
It wasn’t long before viewers took to social media to slam Cassie for trying to get between Abi and Kevin as some believe Roy could turn to murder to protect Abi.

Will Cassie back off of Kevin? Or is she determined to steal him away from Abi whatever the cost?
