“Black Panther” actress Carrie Bernans was left badly injured following a hit-and-run accident in New York City on Jan. 1.

The stuntwoman, 29, was hurt after a driver crashed into an outdoor area at the Chirp restaurant around 1:30 a.m.

Bernans is currently in stable condition and recovering in the hospital after suffering several broken bones, fractures and chipped teeth.

Her rep confirmed to People that Bernans’ young child was not with her at the time.

The incident occurred amid a police foot chase after officers were informed of a physical assault involving the 44-year-old male driver of a black Mercedes and a 34-year-old female passenger.

Police tried “to de-escalate the situation” and ordered the man to put his Mercedes into park.

However, he resisted and kept on driving, turning right onto 7th Avenue.

Two policemen were also injured, as well as the car’s female passenger.

The driver then was “mounted the curb onto the sidewalk again” and hit two parked cars.
