The Issue: President Biden skipping the main 9/11 anniversary events with a speech in Alaska.
Is it any wonder President Biden doesn’t want to go near New York City or Shanksville, Pa. on the anniversary of 9/11 (“Prez doesn’t seem to remember what day it is,” Andrea Peyser, Sept. 11)?
Perhaps, as Peyser says: “Pretty soon, the day of infamy will be all but forgotten.”
I think for some people, that day cannot come soon enough. This country not only shares the grief and pain of that day, but it brings back strong memories of courage, wisdom and sacrifice: the firefighters who ran into the burning buildings, the heroes on the plane, Gov. George Pataki and Mayor Rudy Guliani working together without ego or small-man pride.
Yes, Biden and his cronies want to get far away from the day of 9/11. That day brought out too much of what is real and true and good about the people of this country.
The memory of that day is too much for the haters and hustlers.

Biden’s absence from the 9/11 memorial service in New York is a signal from the liberal Democrats and Biden that they don’t give a damn about America.
Biden’s screaming speech in Alaska seems forced and unnatural at best. Nothing in his speech came from his heart. It’s so pathetic.

Our no-show president gave a trite, screaming speech in Alaska, as if patriotism is measured by volume.
He did so rather than attend one of the three sacred sites of 9/11.
Should we be surprised, since he has been a no-show in the performance of his singular duty to defend and protect the citizens of the United States?
He failed to protect the 13 young Americans sacrificed by his actions in Afghanistan. He has failed to defend our country from the onslaught of unvetted, unvaccinated and often criminal illegal immigrants attacking our border. He has bent his knee to China, which has slaughtered thousands of Americans with fentanyl.
Does anyone expect him to have any empathy for those who lost their lives on 9/11 or offer any solace to the suffering families of these victims?

The pain and the ache do not go away. People died tragically that day, and as a very patriotic American, I felt the pain so deeply.
I remember the photos of the missing placed on poles throughout my neighborhood in Queens, placed by people desperately searching for loved ones. We prayed and hoped, but no good news came.
Our leaders spoke words of grief, comfort and anger at those who had perpetrated such evil and vowed to find them.
Why wasn’t Biden in New York for the anniversary? Nothing should have taken him to Alaska instead of Ground Zero.
Because of his idiotic policy at the border, every morning when I turn on the news I pray not to hear of another 9/11. That’s due to the fact that there are no security checks on those coming into our country. He does not care.
Let us hope to survive the remainder of his term and then hopefully see a new administration that will bring our country back to a safer and more peaceful place.

The White House wisely determined that the president would not be attending the 9/11 New York City memorial ceremony — the possibility of another infamous gaffe or misunderstood statement spoken by the president definitely made his absence the smartest decision.
Americans can tolerate only so much embarrassment caused by Biden, which continues to escalate as time goes on.
The 2024 presidential election will be a refreshing restart to America’s successful future.

Biden spent $50 million in upgrades to the Situation Room in a White House that he spends so little time in. And on 9/11, he was out of town.
The only way Biden could keep a campaign promise is if he ran on “America last.”
