Amanda Holden sparked romance rumours with Frank Skinner after sending flowers to star | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Amanda Holden once sparked romance rumours with Frank Skinner by sending flowers to his dressing room.

The 53-year-old revealed she is a huge fan of the comedian, mentioning him “at least 10 times a day” with husband Chris Hughes.

But Frank, 67, has now revealed friends and colleagues once believed the star could have seen him in a romantic light.

Speaking on Heart Breakfast during an interview with Amanda and her co-host Jamie Theakston, the Three Lions hitmaker told the Britain’s Got Talent judge: “You sent me flowers for one of my West End performances.”

“Anyone who came in, I said, ‘Amanda Holden sent me those’, and they all went, ‘woo!’. Let ‘em wonder, I thought!”

Amanda’s Heart FM co-star Jamie was intrigued, asking Frank: “Did you quash those rumours, or…?”

Frank then cheekily said: “No, I didn’t. I fanned them.”

Frank and partner Cath Mason have been together for 21 years, and they share a son named Buzz together.

He was previously married, when he was 33, to 19-year-old Lisa Jones, a student at Halesowen College where he worked as a lecturer.

It lasted under a year and Frank has since had the marriage annulled.

Amanda, meanwhile, wed partner Chris in 2008, with former Formula One driver David Coulthard taking part in the ceremony as her husband’s best man.

She had been married previously to comedian Les Dennis from 1995 until their separation in 2002, and divorce a year later.

Heart Breakfast with Jamie and Amanda airs between 6.30am and 10am on weekdays.
